History

The Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Internship Program was established in 1991 with the approval of the Speaker of the House of Commons. The program has been supported by the Ukrainian Diaspora in Canada and the USA for each of the past 25 years it has run.

Regretfully the Endowment Fund which sustained the CUPP Program was exhausted in 2015 and after 25 years the CUPP program, which has received recognition by Members of Parliament and political scientists, may come to an end unless new funding is found for the program. The Program's founder and only director, Ihor Bardyn, is doing his best to secure funding for the program for another 25 years. CUPP Alumni are campaigning to establish a new Endowment Fund.
